Hey, Brave Soul 🙌🏽 I'm glad you’re here.

Mostly Brave offers stories, songs, and support for us: those who want to show up with fierce love, courageous creativity, and kindness in a world running on fear.

I’m Christine, an author, singer, illustrator, and filmmaker (and a neurospicy mermaid🧜🏼‍♀️ who thrives in the ocean, with funky dance and daily devotions). I believe that your wild heart and your authentic creative voice are medicine for these times. Yet when we share our truth, hit ‘send’ or ‘publish,’ or step up to the mic, it’s effing risky!

That’s when limiting beliefs show up. Maybe it’s anxiety roiling in your gut, a wicked wave of self-consciousness, or a cloud of dullness, doubts, or distractions:

🤷🏼‍♀️ Is this good enough? Does it even belong? It’s too weird, nobody’s gonna like it.
😩 Gotta do that one thing first, better make money or clean closets.
😱 I’m too old, I don’t look good enough, let’s go get some chips. And wine.

Sound familiar? These inner voices and emotional patterns are part of me, but they’re NOT the boss of me. Or you! It helps to separate my anxious inner child parts from my core self. I affectionately call them my Monkeys of Fear 🙉🙊🙈 Check this out:

In our Mostly Brave creative community,

We acknowledge the Monkeys of Fear that steal our time and energy. PS: It’s not your fault if “Just Do It!” doesn’t work for you. Our fears are deeply held social programs (or internalized patriarchy) designed to keep us quiet and submissive.

As we face our fears, we practice compassionate ways to melt their worries. This is vulnerable, valuable work; paid subscriptions allow us to go deeper.

As we connect to the Soul (you may prefer true self, higher self, or loving, wise sage within), we can draw upon the courage in our hearts to carry on, with strength and beauty.

My background includes art and media faculty, facilitating brave circles for teens, coaching midlife women, and co-creating vision quests, conferences, and festivals. I’m honored to hold space with you — and to support your Mostly Brave voyage.
