Hi Christine, blessings to your mom. I’m super tired in this moment, but I want to say I get inspired a lot by reading other people like you and just showing up to the page and starting, stopping, starting, stopping in so on and so forth.

Some days it feels brilliant and other days it’s like what the fuck

sending you love

Thank you dear Prajna 🙏🏽 agreed! I’m in the liminal space, en route to my mom, and I feel your love and understanding. It’ll be fascinating to start, stop, and start writing this story!

…to answer your closing prompt…the juice is in communication…saying something and having someone say something in return…the internet can be all mirrors or windows…i think i prefer stained glass and crystals…best wishes during this difficult time…

Thank you, Mr. Foote, as always, a joy to 'meet' you here. I'm pulled more and more to Real Life...land of stained glass light shows and crystalline connections

I got sucked in by your foggy title, but the rest of your words gripped me as well. I am just getting started on my writing path, but this was so encouraging and relatable. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Thank you for pulling us through the fog. You are a champion.

Thank you, Lyns! To clarify, the essay on writing is a guest post by @Kathryn Vercillo. So lovely to know you're not alone, and you belong!

Your words are so heartwarming, Christine!

I am so sorry to hear about your Mum 💚 I can relate, though not to the full extent. My Mum is also ill, also the lungs, though she is still battling on and somewhat stable.

You are not just "mostly brave"... you ARE brave. My thoughts are with you and my heart goes out to your Mum.

Despite the hardships right now, I would still like to wish you a very happy, peaceful, creative, joyful, healthy, adventurous, safe and comforting 2025.

Sending love across the waves 🐳

Ahhhh, thank you so much, dear Jo. And may your mum's lungs carry on breathing in, breathing out. My mom was a devout Zen Buddhist daily meditator. Returning to her breath was a great comfort. I wish for you and for all of us - to give ourselves the gift of comfort as we navigate this voyage!

Thank you so much for your warm words, Christine.

Sure, I can imagine that she would have done so, as a daily meditator.

Meditation is amazing. A life-changer.

Holding you in my thoughts and sending positive vibes and much strength.
